Why the Epithet, Stretchqueen?

My brand was developed in a not so cookie cutter way. I started sharing my love for movement online. I was encouraged and inspired to use the handle stretchqueen by my late friend, and so it was. Before I started working professionally a few communities had accepted me and my newly formed epithet, style of stretch and mobility and personality - and I never thought twice about it.

I embody Stretchqueen because it symbolizes what everyone needs and deserves. It tells a story of how I am providing for others no matter if someone is hundreds of miles across the world interacting through a screen, or standing in front of me, able to achieve a great range of motion or very little, well versed in movement or not. I take into consideration that not one person’s needs are the same, tailoring each bodywork session with markedly sought after discernment and care. Everyone is welcome to my table, no matter their “status”, “ability” or any series of differentiating factors according to societal norms.

Other than training and knowledge, listening is the number one quality for a great bodyworker. In my opinion, it means the combination of the following: listening in a physical and energetic manner to the client in front of you and to yourself. If you are calm and present, tuning out the noise and negativity, likely you can reverse someone’s disposition or temperament - and that is the kind of power I adore. The effects of stretch, mobility and bodywork can be measured effectively with assessments, monitoring, NRS pain scale (Numeric Rating Scale). Many clients have back pain or hip pain relief, feel more aligned, balanced and lighter even just after a single, 60 minute session.

During the entirety of a client’s session my body and brain are calculating minute energetic shifts. Silently asking things like, where do I start to feel a resistance and where can they breathe through the movement? Is there a progression with each breath they take? Do they have the understanding themselves of when their body is ready or not for deeper pressure? Are they able to discern when their muscles or nervous system are resisting? Are they in fight, flight or freeze mode? Do they have a tendency to hold their breath keeping tension in their face? Can they easily relax by talking or do they need moments to themselves? Will we take our time with a restorative practice or move into an energizing session that prepares them for their day ahead? Do they need more direction and command, or a soothing guidance from my voice?

This is all the more important the first few minutes of a session. With it comes a beautiful energetic flow between me and the person on my table. As a bodyworker and mobility specialist, I integrates manual therapy, mobility assessments, and nervous system reset techniques to support individuals across varying abilities, demands, and phases of life.

As a future clinical team member, I hope to have the chance to help advocate for any client that wants to feel supported and empowered. In particular, my wish is to create safe spaces for women to be treated, protected and seen. Continuing to support an underprivileged community through hands-on work is a great honor. Ultimately, I believe in creating an environment that provides a conduit for the kind of power that reverses negative thoughts, unsticks physical and emotional energy and allows pathways for long lasting change.

When you are ready to experience what I offer, I encourage you to book a free phone consultation or an intro offer at a discount so you can see for yourself what it is all about. I provide in-home care, so no driving is needed, and you can relax in the comfort of your own home. Or if you prefer, stop by to see me at Thrive Health and Wellness Collective in Marina del Rey. There are beautiful rooms so we can choose to book an appointment. Same day if needed simply send me an email or a message here and I will apply as soon as possible.

To note, I provide assessment-informed sessions that integrate manual therapy, mobility assessments, and stretch and flexibility techniques including PNF to support individuals across varying abilities, physical demands, and phases of life. Sessions are designed to improve mobility, reduce muscular tension, and support overall movement quality and recovery.

Services are primarily conducted on a treatment table, with the option to incorporate active, movement-based techniques and restorative bodywork, depending on client preference and session goals. I do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, and all services are non-invasive and within the scope of my bodywork and movement-based practice.
